Maptia & Charity:Water Partnership
I was honored to be a part of a project close to my heart - global health access. In September 2015, Charity:Water launched their #NothingIsCrazy Campaign to kick off their September Fundraising Campaign to raise money for clean water access globally. They approached Maptia, a visual storytelling platform, to tell engaging stories of the creative, bold, inventive ways their community raised money for clean water access. Maptia helped Charity:Water launch a series of stories. I illustrated the lettering for the launch of Charity:Water's series of stories on the Maptia platform. These graphics would be used for web and social media. Since the character of both Maptia and Charity:Water's community is socially conscious, aspirational and boldly inventive, I created a look and feel that matched that optimistic energy and spirit. Summit Series is both a global community and event series. Summit builds community by bringing together leading entrepreneurs and innovators across various sectors to spark ideas and collaboration. With a mission to connect, inspire, catalyze entrepreneurship, they have been hailed as the Davos and TED of the millennial generation. I worked with Summit Series on their aspirational branding and created marketing decks, presentations, print collateral that engaged their innovative, millennial audience. I created a fresh, modern, elegant and bold identity for Stellar Spice, an artisan scarf brand whose target audience is bold, adventurous millennial women. Stellar Spice is inspired by the movements of the celestial bodies and heavens. Heavily influenced by the concept of change, transformation and discovery. Each scarf is made from all natural cotton and dyes. Each is hand woven, hand painted -- classic and bold, like the women who wear them.
Sydney Cocktail Club
Sydney Cocktail Club is a community and event series aimed at connecting like-minded imbibers with fun, educational events to learn more about their favorite drinks. Sydney Cocktail Club came to me with a need for a re-design of their website. Their old website was outdated, not easy to navigate, and didn't engage their target audience. Using the Squarespace platform, I gave them a visual refresh that was modern, elegant, and visually enticing to their target audience. Happy Imbibing!
One Hundred Days of Type
In April, artist Elle Luna and the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) launched #The100DayProject, a challenge to nurture and celebrate creativity. The challenge is simple - create one thing everyday for 100 days. As a self-professed lover of type, I decided to create one piece of type each day. I experimented with composition, styles and balance. I drew my inspiration from all over - including Eastern languages, Western design aesthetics and, of course, food.
